Padres????!!!!!?

who thinks the Padres will make a tremendous comeback and end up winning the world series? i'd like them to, but dont know if it will happen (theyre down 2-0 in the series with the Cardinals)

6. I am one who don't believe they will and that was your question. What an amazing stat concerning the Padres having finished first in batting average on the road and last in batting average at home!

9. Of course, it would be great, but realistically, they have a lot going against them: Their offense needs to wake up. That would be an important place to start. And it's been this way all season. True, they've been the best on the road of all NL teams, so hopefully they will get a huge breakthrough in game three. As for the Cardinals -- I would be surprised if they got past the Mets for the NL title, and even more surprised if they got past either the Yankees or Tigers. The American League has dominated the Fall Classic and the mid-season classic (All Star game) for years. Next year? Padres need to open up their wallets and get Barry Zito, and a potent bat. They have improved each season, and should not let the final outcome in this post-season discourage them.
